India does not have an organized marketplace for livestock. Currently, livestock trading happens via physical marketplaces and through Whatsapp. There are many challenges in these current models. COVID 19 has further complicated the process of buying and selling and has therefore accentuated the need for a comprehensive, organized e-marketplace for livestock trading.
To fulfill this need and offer farmers an easy way to buy and sell livestock, MABIF Incubatee, M/s Intelitix Solutions along with National Agro Foundation created an online trading platform “Pasumarket” for Livestock.
