Department of Millets Centre for Plant Breeding and Genetics in association with Indian Society of Plant Breeders (ISPB) organized the three days program on “International Millet Conference & Futuristic Food Expo’23"(IMCFFE 2023) Celebrate Centenary Year of Millets Research and International Year of Millets (IYoM) at TNAU, Coimbatore from 24th - 26th May’23. Hon'ble Governor Thiru. R. N. Ravi Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Thiru M.R.K. Panneerselvam, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Dr. V. Geethalakshmi, TNAU, graced the event with the presence of Shri. T. Venkatakrishna, CGM, Chennai - RO and NABARD officials & Dr. S. Somasundaram, Directorate of Agri. Business Development (DABD).
The event features a range of activities, including exhibitions of millet-based products and Technical session on millet cultivation and processing. The fair also provides a platform for farmers, startups, entrepreneurs & researchers to showcase their millet-based products and innovations, and network with other stakeholders in the millet industry. Startups & FPOs of NABARD MABIF namely B & B Organics, Farmerette Health Foods, Vagai Farmer Producer Company Ltd, Shadvik Nutri Best Pvt Ltd, Premac Foods Private Limited and Varietas Green Energy Pvt Ltd exhibited their products & Stalls are sponsored by NABARD.
