The FSSAI has mandated all food businesses, having Central License or State License, to have at least one trained and certified Food Safety Supervisor for every 25 food handlers or part thereof on all their premises. Under Section 16(3)h of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 the FSSAI has to ensure training of persons who are, or intend to become involved in Food Businesses, whether as FBOs or employees or otherwise. Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum (MABIF) joined hands with FSSAI empanelled training partner of Tamil Nadu (PARIKSHAN) and conducted its first training cum certification program of FoSTaC- Advance Manufacturing at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai on 14th July 2018. Thirty nine participants across the 2 states had participated in this program. OUTCOME : Participants has obtained FSSAI certification valid for two years.
