District Collector, Madurai visited MABIF along with officials of Agricultural, Agribusiness and related line department. Collector appreciated the efforts and advised officials to take new innovations to all FPOs and Farmers in the districts. District Collector, Madurai special attention was towards Black solider fly, which convert organic waste in 10 days against 40 days in Vermi compost and also provide worms/pupae with 40-50 % protein. Which can substitute / replace high cost of feed in poultry, piggery, and Fisheries. More, over the organic waste in Urban setting is reduce in less time to 20% as Bio Fertilizer with nutrients more Vermi compost. District Collector has advised to take this model to potential farmers and rural youth to officials.
